At this time of year hedgehogs are fattening themselves up for hibernation, however if you see one foraging in daylight it is probably underweight and might be in need of help.

The London Wildlife Trust posted on Instagram and Facebook about an underweight hedgehog rescued from Dulwich Wood (London) a few days ago.
