Hi,

I am in the process of sorting an outdoor enclosure for my two tortoises to live in. I have a 5'x3' shed which I am planning on insulating with aluminium foil and plan to have a heat lamp. Please can you advise the best type of bulb to use for this size space?
I will be fitting a lockable door to enable them access to a large outdoor area which I plan on covering with chicken wire. Will just a heat lamp in the shed be sufficient with them having access to the outdoors?

Thanks

Chris

Yes, you don't need uv for outdoor torts. They will need free access via cat flap type opening though, it's not just enough to take them in and out ;)
