Sky News has just reported the theft of 56 rare hermann tortoise from a National Park in Corsica. Very said news. Check it out on the Web site.

It's really sad that some people put money before tortoises welfare, which is normally the case their taken.  :(

Why oh why do news channels push the rarity and often inflate the worth? It only makes them more stealable sadly. I hope these are found or at the very least find their way to some form of safety. Why were they in captivity anyway in a country where they are a naturally wild species?
