I have just read on another forum that hollyhocks are ok to eat, but i am sure that i have read they are not safe. Am i dreaming or are they ok.

holly hock is part of the mallow family mallows are edible so can't see why this plant can't be it doesn't contain any toxins that i no of the sap is a throat gargle remedy for soar throats so if it was toxic it would be to us also

Yeah Hollyhock is fine i'm sure it is. I read on another thread somewhere that it was ok, I'll see if i can find it for you just to be on the safe side.
