Sorry yes we use a digital thermometer with infra red. It was reading low, not sure if its the batteries or its broken so just bought a new one to be safe.

Hi, the heated end was 37, he has come out now and is wandering around. He does have a large indoor area with a cave area at one end but he doesnt seem to like sleeping or digging down there.
When we got him early this year he was in a small vivarium so we built him a new enclosure out of 2 sets of drawers until we can get him outside next year.
