I have 2 very healthy and active Hermanns. They love being outside. On Saturday the smaller of the two SUDDENLY started to sqeak and had a very sticky substance in its mouth and on front claws. I gave it a warm bath and put it under the uv/heat lamp. During this (traumatic) time the tort was active and happy to eat. I later showed it to my neighbour (who is a tort owning vet's nurse) we both agreed the seemed to be nothing wrong. I am worried about rns but no discharge from nose or mouth, eyes are fine and no squeaking..... until an hour ago .They had been outside for about 10 mins. again noise, sticky claws and mouth.....I noticed a trail of slug/snail slime beside the tort and I'm wondering if it's eaten a slug or something covered in slime?
The tort is fine now.....

It sounds to me like he's eaten a slug too. It won't harm him, but it is messy and sometimes the slime can be gluey. I've heard that the best thing to get the slime off if it's bothering him is cold tea.
