I'm sure Dan will be only to glad to help you but you can also contact Chester zoo they readly breed egyptians if you ask for Douglas Sheriff i'm sure he can help you the zoos number is 01244 380280 that puts you through to reception

aww he`s sooo cute what ya going to call him ? I think it would be amazing too watch a tortoise hatching.

Thanks everybody :D . It's always amazing watching them hatch out. He was sold earlier this year and they named him Spuds.

They are fantastic. Am I right in saying that they are the smallest hatchlings at about 4g or something equally tiny??? They're also really endangered aren't they. Well done fantastic!

T. g. nabeulensis should have just as small a hatchling from what Highfield has said about the size of their eggs. Just checked out the size again and if it's right T. g. nabeulensis would be the smallest hatchling tortoises at about 2.5-3 grams and a length of 15-17mm.
