I just got a leopard tortoise for the first time. It is a baby and I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help me take good care of it?:-)

Hi,

Congratulations on your new leopard. They are beautiful tortoises. I don't keep them myself, but there is a very good forum for leopard keepers, and I think you could get good advice from them:

I have it in a very large container. It has eco earth and playsand mixture in the bottom with timothy hay on top. I also have a very shallow water dish, a large log thing it can go under, heat lamp, and heat rock.
I have been feeding it 2 times a day with so far escarole and endive lettuce. I also bought some butternut squash but woulnt eat that. It seems to like the lettuce but doesnt eat very much of it. Is that normal? I just want to keep it healthy.Let me know what you think!:-)
