[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-05-07 AT 02:14 AM (GMT)]hey all im a newb to this forum and ive kept my40-50 year old desert tortoise for nearly 20 years (he is registered and in very good health )my one problem is that he loves corn on the cob and his face gets covered with for lack of a better word--creamed corn it dries to a protective coatinng and when i put him in his pen in the morning usually snails would come to eat creamed off of his face and i just left it like that however this year there are less snails (its probably some politcal plot to rid the world of them but i digress)does any body have any idea obout removing this corn leatherfrom his face he is big- old and resists my efforts and is very strong idont believe it is hurting him but iknow full well about tortoise heath problems- jaw -respiratory -etc- etc . any body got any ideas
