hi all just got a ne addition to the family a horsefeild male tortoise
he approx 10yrs old never had a ny heat been outside all the timelooks well on it is this ok to do does hibernate winter eats weeds etc is that ok if hes been like that 4yrs im a beginner looking forward to any help thanx oaky

sounds like a very luck tortoise! Does he stay outside over night or inside? and how did you come to own this tortoise?

Hi, and congrats on your new horsfield! Would love to see a picture of him. If you want some good advice on keeping horsfields (russians) in the UK, have a look at this site:

And do ask lots of questions - this is a really friendly and helpful site, and the only silly question is the one that isn't asked .

hi thanx 4 reply the torty has alittle house he goes into at nite or when cold then he comes out and goes for it lol dandylions he love the last owner couldnt manage him any more just that when its cold he goes off food is this ok he was sold to me has a female but since found out hes male needs a new name got along tail that is male isnt it thanx oaky
