second worry, i have only my torts for a few days now when i put the outside they loved it but the male one keeps sniffing out toad stools that grow in my wood chipping at the side of my house. he finds them before i do. is it ok for them to eat them or not cant find anything on the internet. if i put him at one end of the garden them he runs straight tot he wood chippings to look for them and we have a pretty big garden. they are both horsfields
thanks

I haven't been able to find toadstools specifically on a toxic list, but many species are known to be toxic to mammals, and although tortoises can safely eat some plants that are toxic to mammals, I wouldn't risk it. Can't you fence off that section of your garden?

yeah i can but was just wondering as he hasnt been eating and when i saw him eating them i thought well maybe he could eat them. he has only managed to get to eat one. i have only just had them and it is taking them some time to get back to eating. i think that the lady that had them before me had them on vedges instead of weeds. when i went to pick them up at her house they pooed all over me and it was very sloppy. i trying to get them on weeds so they are testing to see who gives in first:-)
