[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-06-07 AT 06:31 PM (GMT)]hello everyone,
I thought i would give you all an update on toby my 11mth med spur tortie with the cleft palet/lip.
I took him the vets today for his 2nd load of worming and hes doing rearly well & no more sneezing so rns hasnt developed yet:).
he has lost bout 3 -4 grams as he was 39kg hes now 35kg, the vet assurs me this doesnt meen theres a problem as 1/4 of a tortoises body weight can be the contents of there bladder.
He did have a big wee after i got him home after his first visit to the vets so im not worried as hes eating rearly well and is lively.
He has turned out to be a she or so the vet thinks but that doesnt bother me as long as he or she is happy, I had my suspicions on wat sex toby was as i did abit of reserch on deformatys and found that it can be caused by the egg being incubated at a too high a temperature.
Which made me think that there was a good possibility he was a female as to get females they need to be inubated at a higher temperature than you would need to produce males.
so toby is a little girlie or so it seems.
Im so glad i decided to keep toby :)
Thanks for everybody support :)

Hi Sarahlou,

So glad to hear that Toby (or is it Tabatha now? ) is getting better. You must be really relieved - and I'm really glad you decided to keep him too!

I'm so glad that Toby is well on the road to recovery.

If he's kept in a loving caring atmosphere he will live a healthy life.
