PUS!! blink.gif Poor ol Ruby, unsure.gif
Glad she's at home safe 'n' sound... where she belongs!
What a relief, her eyes possibly getting better too, if she can survive that lot I'm sure she can survive the viv for now!!

Well, what can I say about this little one - after everything she's been through she now has another fight on her hands...

Went to check on her last night when I got home from work and she has a lump where her ear is sad.gif I think it may be an abcess?? It seems to have appeared overnight.

I am going to take her to a vets but mine isn't a tort specialist and Portsmouth is so far away (thats where I took Tally) so I'm going to try and find a nearer reptile vet. Unfortunatley though I can't get to a vet until the weekend (unless I can find a vet near to me).

What worries me is I looked on the 'tiniternet last night (Seeing as I couldn't get on here! rolleyes.gif ) and it seems as though she may need an operation with anaesthetic. I'm not sure if she'll be strong enough for that... sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

It goes without saying that I will keep you updated... poor little mite - as if she hasn't suffered enough already..

Hi Lin
I am sure there is a tort vet nearer to you check out this link

Yes you are right she will need to be put under for the op, tell the vet her past problems and if the abcess is not too worrying he may leave her till the Spring

BLOODY HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arnie.... good to have you back!!! laugh.gif Missed ya!!!!

Ruby's had her op and is back home where she belongs, she's doing well, eating lots. The vet I am now using is fantastic and seems really knowledgable.

NB In case any of the newbie's are wondering, Arnie (aka Di) used to be the resident expert - by gum she really helped me in the beginning with Frank!!! LOL!!! I was always bugging her with questions!! tongue.gif wink.gif

Welcome back. Its good news that you are well again. I have missed your posts on the forum.
You are one of the best tortoise experts out there.
