Hello all!

Im so sorry - I have another question.

Albert and Grace were weighed today and their weights have reduced

when Albert went in he weiged 292g and in his box weighed 530g. This has dropped to 524g - total lost = 6g or 2.1% of his orignal weight in 2 weeks

Grace weighed 226g when she went in, 544g when put into her box. This is now 540g. 4g weight loss - or 1.8% weight loss in 2 weeks

Should we be worrying? They didnt lose any weight during their wind down.

Hi! In my limited experience they do loose a bit at the start but the weight loss slows right down after a little while, and in some cases stops altogether. From what I know, the amount of weigh lost by your torts is very small and not a concern at this stage. Thats assuming they were a suitable weight when they went down.

So my suggestion would be to continue weighing them, maybe once a week, and keep an eye on whats going on.

My two juveniles lost much more than yours have here and emerged well and raring to go!

I'm surprised your torts didn't loose anything during wind down, but I would think this is good news for their hibernation.
