Hello All
Just a quick message.
I have bought for my rabbits some READY GRASS and I was wondering if my leopard and hermann tortoise would eat it?
Also could I use wood shaving on the floor of there houses?
Thanks to all replies I get.
Regards James

Hi,

I'm not sure about your torts and that Ready Grass, because I have Hermanns and they need a different diet, but I wouldn't use wood chips in their enclosure - hemp is much better. As far as I know you have torts that eat a lot of hay and grasses, meaning you could also use a bit of hay as bedding. A mixture of hay and hemp would be great.
Have you been on the Tortoise Trust website for tortoise diet info? If not, then you should log on and have a look because they definitely have a lot of info on all kinds of torts

Me again - just noticed that you DID have a Hermann tort. I don't think that Ready Grass would be well suited for him, but your Leopard would probably love it.
