What is the white stuff he has managed to get all over his shell in the first picture? :rolleyes:

I don't know if you are aware, but chippings are not the recommended substrate for the little chaps, most people tend to use topsoil or topsoil mixed with childrens playsand. Chippings can harbour mould spoors which can lead to respiritory problems.

yes, the chippings are just in a small area and the majority of the substrate is top soil and playsand, i have chippings in one corner just for a different texture. do you think i should take it out completely?

And i believe that the the white stuff is from the cuttle fish bone but it may be nutrobal
