Hi Bruce

Are you sure its chickweed, and not called something else, esle where?
Sorry to be awkward, but a picture would be better. If its the light green plant with small white flowers, then its not toxic to tortoises as far as I know. But not sure if they eat it.
I am sure someone with more plant knowledge will come along to help:0)

sandy it is light green with small white flowers.they dont bother with it i just tried them!!!
