Hermanns tortoises at Acupulatta tortise centre

Here is another from my never ending series of photos from my holiday. At the Acupulatta centre they have lots of Hermanns of all kinds and people also bring them injured animals for treatment. One of the Hermanns' here has been in a terrible accident of some kind but seemed to be living happily enough as a part of a group. All I can say is, he's in the right place to get the help he needs.

Hi Oz,
I can see from your pics. that one of the torts has some severe shell damage-poor thing. But as you say he's in the right place and will hopefully live out his life in contentment and happiness. Thanks for sharing Oz.

Ooooh poor little fella!

I'm sure I read somewhere, TT? that it is now thought that the damaged shell heals either just as well or better, left au natural rather than be filled with the epoxy resin.
Don't hold me to it though until I remember where I read it!
