Firstly I must apologise for not being on here for a while. I have just come back from a weeks holiday. Anyway, a small hole has appeared in one of the second clutch of eggs this afternoon. At the moment it is only a small hole and the membrane has a little slit in it. But I'm afraid the hatchling is being very lazy and doesn't look as if he will be about before tomorrow. I have to say I find this part the hardest, The Waiting Game. Ha ha, It really is so hard not to interfere. Fingers crossed everyone please that everything goes ok for the little one.

Well, since posting on Sunday, we have had 4 hatchlings appear. The one that started on Sunday did not come out until yesterday afternoon. One of the other eggs actually hatched before that one. The first one hatched at about 1.20 am yesterday morning, and the next two appeared around 2.30 yesterday afternoon. They had a bit of a race to get out in the end. Then on Monday night one of the other eggs pipped, and that little one appeared at 3.00pm today.

All four have had slight egg sacs for me to deal with but nothing like Tysons.

I'm sorry for the lack of photos, but it has been a very few hectic days with visitors and hatchlings. Coupled with working hours as well I haven't had time to take as many as I would have liked. but here are a few I have taken with my phone.

The bathing of them all together ended in a rugby scram. LOL.

Hi Paula

I am not sure if that is it. When I candled them 7 of the 9 eggs were solid. Which suggest there should be another 3!!! All being well. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that they are ok and just being a bit lazy.

I would hate anything to have happened to them in the shell.

Thank you for your comments on the hatchlings. I just need to let you all know that we have since had another 2 hatchlings. Making our total so far 10!!! All of them except the last one are eating well and seem fine.

The last little hatchling pipped on Thursday evening and came out yesterday morning. He had a rather large egg sac and I had to leave him in the incubator over night for him to absorb it. Then when I got up this morning he was on his back!!! he gave me quite a fright. Whilst putting micro pore on what was left of his egg sac, I noticed that he also has extra scutes at the back and a rather bloated looking shell shape. But he does seem OK.

The little pale hatchling in the picture of the 3 musketeers, has a little bent foot at the front and walks on the end of his foot rather than his claws. It doesn't seem to bother him and he gets around just fine.

I have to say, that this second lot of hatchlings have caused me more stress than the first ones. They have taken alot longer to hatch. Most of them taking over 30 hours from pip, to leaving the egg. Then they have nearly all had egg sacs to deal with. But they are worth it. And hopefully will all continue to make good progress.
