Hi Bruce

Its much easier to let adults have a natural hibernation, than hatchlings:0)
I dont worry too much about the adults and they seem to come out fine. But not really tried it with really small tortoises.
As I dont dig my tortoises up, they stay under ground during the hibernation, hence not wanting to try it on really small torts. 100grms plus I have with no problems. Any that dont dig down, I box up.

thanks sandy,i am not convinced torts can do a natural hibernation up here.its so cold for so long up here.we have had -15 up here this year.i am going to have to try somthing diffrent this year.will learn more about box and natural hibernation before i deside.
