Hi

I have a female who has laid 2 sets of eggs and I know instantly when she is carrying more and ready to lay them. This is called being "gravid". The first sign is they will be restless and try to climb anything and everything. They can become aggresive to other torts and sometimes they do go off their food. They pace around constantly looking for a suitable place to lay the eggs

Hope this helps

No Cola is only 5 nearly 6 years old and the father is only 4 nearly 5. I think it doesn't go on age but on size, which in the case of captive bred/kept tortoises is alot faster growing than in the wild..

Cola weighs 975g, what does your female weigh?

Is your's pacing & climbing and far more active than usual?

Jeanette xx
