I'm useless at identifying plants let alone weeds. I'm confident with clover & dandalion and that's about it. So poor torts have a bit of restricted diet at the moment. I'd really like to improve. I've looked at various pictures but still find it difficult so am hoping you can help.

Can anyone help me with these two which I have found near my shed at the bottom of the garden.

I know I'm no photographer either ;-)

Thanks

Hi Pat,

Picture 2 is a little difficult to make out, but two things growing at the moment with little white flowers are bittercress and chickweed. Perhaps if you were to google image them you could have a better look? Both are edible as part of a mixed diet.

Sorry, not sure about picture 1, looks a bit like creeping buttercup but I am not sure. Creeping buttercup is not edible.

Thanks Paula. I've been doing some internet research and am pretty sure weed two is bittercress. Still not sure about weed one, but buttercup seems reasonable from the pictures I've seen, though can't believe I can't identify it if it is. will wait to see if it flowers. Then feel really embarrassed if it is ;-)

Thanks again.

Hello
I think the same as Paula no 1 does look like a buttercup leaf, non edible,no2 does look like bittercress which is edible.
