Just back from the vets with Shell. She has not had a runny nose all day so we are all thinking she may have turned the corner on the road to recovery. She is still not eating and there was a discussion about 'force feeding' if she doesn't help herself by the end of the week. Feeling more positive. X

At least last night she seemed to be better.... Nose running again this morning.:-(( but at least she is drinking her vitamin enriched water:-)) and she did a poo of sorts.... Strained and squeaked as she did it....But it was all mucus. Do you think there is something there to poo as she hasn't eaten for such a long time? Chopped her lunch up.... Baby watercress, pansy leaves, dandelion leaves..... I say leaves, it is really leaf of each!!! A bit of cucumber throw ( chopped) in for good measure. X x

Hi Stellanne,
Shells infection may take a little while to go as she clears her system. Things tend to get a little worse before they get better. The antibiotics seem to be having effect. Fingers crossed things improve from here on in. Take care.
Kind Regards
Freddy

I have the technique of holding her at a downward angle so stuff can drain away.... Tissue ready to wipe her little nose. She has had three antibiotic injections so far. X x

How can I say tomato is not a good thing for torty to be eating when she is poorly?!!

USUALLY... we don't recommend offering torty tomato, but completely understand your joy at getting something into her!

Every best wish for your lil girl. :D

Yes wouldn't normally feed tomatoes.... Or cucumber but desperate to get her to eat anything that will get her back into the habit and provide moisture. Had fun this morning syringing vets prescription in the water as she was drinking it x x x fun and games. X x hugs x x
