been quite good these last two weeks for eggs.one of my new females layed five last week and now one of my hercs is digging as i type.she will prob lay three.incubator has not been of all year!

Shall wait and see how many she lays, one day perhaps I shall have lil Herc babies. :wub:

after hours of digging she layed 2 eggs.they are a hell ov a lot smaller than the boettgri eggs.its gonna be i small tort if they hatch!
7degrees outside the shed and shes lay'n eggs!!

She was quick? Good girl. :)
Are these your first Herc eggs? Do you treat them the same as the Bots, incubation wise?
Make sure you weigh them when they hatch!! You know we like details... and pictures. :D

hi bruce thats great how big is the herc female hopefully when mine are all together next year ill be saying the same (that i have eggs)congrats on the eggs hope they all hatch for you :)

the female is just over 700grams she has layed for the last three years.she has had a few fertile eggs but only one has hatched and died a week after.

the temps are slitely diffrent than the bottgri

what temp are you doing,is it a little bit lower,i hope they hatch this time for you :)

well i have both bots and the hercs in same incubator.i cant have temps higher than 30 degrees as the eggs are so small

well the hercs eggs arnt looking good but the boettgri are doing well i think!
had a nother 4 layed the other day and one of the other females is going to lay any min now!
deff having more luck with the boettgri than the hercs!!!

fingers crossed its still early,you defo dont seem to be having any look with the hercs but hopefully your thb will make up for it :)

i have two torts laying at the same time!!one herc and a boettgri.this happened this time last yr.just wen u think they have settled down for the big sleep!!grrr!!!

I'm having the same thing happen one of my females is acting gravid. last week I started the wind down process now have had to go park and get a big bag of food for them grrrr the incubator has been on for nearly 100 days now thought I was gonna get some time to sort all there indoor tortoise table out and clean the incubator will be later in the year now. :)
