Oh wow! They are great enclosures Karen, :D I wish I had that much space indoors.
What is the plant near the light in the horsfield table? Do you find them difficult to keep alive in the table? (the plants  ) Go on.. now tell be they are artificial?!!

 Norman's the same when I've tried to put real plants in his enclosure...... trampled within seconds! What is it with the male Hermanns and bulldozing everything in their path???

The only real plants he has are in his outdoor enclosure. They're that big now, what with all the rain, that he can't kill them. :)

Your tables are fantastic, looks like an extension to your other furniture...like when people insert aquariums in their wallunits. Awesome job!

Karen hi
I love your tortie table it looks like a proper home for them. As you may remember me from yesterday I have the aspen but I would like to make one like yours. I went for the Petshop version!! I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking?
Where / what sort of soil do you use?
Do you change this completely regularlry as I wonder about, the tiddles and poohs if they get missed?
Do you have a liner in it?
Do you wet it regularly?
Does your tortoises get filthy and would it matter?
Hope you don't mind me asking as I am a week and a bit tortoise owner.
Many thanks in anticipation

Nickyx

hi nicky thanks :) i just get my top soil from b and q it does,nt cost much.
i spot clean every day taking out any thing that shoul,nt be in there, then every couple of days i clean them out by taking the top layer off after so long i will add extra soil i never empty it theres about 9/ 10 inch of soil in mine i water mine regular with a watering can and just let it dry out the top part drys but the bottom stays more moist the best way i got told was to water the soil like you would a plant :)
my torts are never clean they love to dig and climb and trash their tables :)
