i have a 3ft long indoor tortoise table on order n also heat lamp and uvb lamp. Have a temp lamp set up til the appropriate one arrives friday. i have been researching their diet all day and will be giving squirtle his first bath this evening :)
Are their any shop bought food that you do recommend for tortoises or isit all wild weeds? thanks x

Weeds weeds and more weeds. If you really need to supplement, try Florette Crispy Salad from supermarkets, it needs to be the Crispy one and not the Bistro, Mixed Salad or others containing different leaves. It's really easy to find enough wild food for one tiny baby though. I do it for lots of adults with no problems. You can also buy a seed mix from Herbiseed for mediterranean tortoises. Be careful of ebay sellers who rarely know nothing about tortoise nutrition and don't feed pelleted diets as these can be harmful.
