hello my cherry heads fine gaining weight, one eats anything in sight and the other likes to sleep alot. I did have them on 1/2 play sand and 1/2 top soil. But it got 2 messy and they were eating it, so i soon changed that to moss and a towel soaked in water, it keep the humditity up. I will post some pictures soon. take care

we have called them cherry and tomato lol. They are in bed at the moment so as soon as they wake up i will post some pictures.

That looks really neat, are they extra tidy tortoises or was that before they went in, I know mine always reck the place.:)

well they are only 3 inches, if you look close you can see that tomato is under the lamp having a warm, i like to give all my tortoises lots of room. unlike a certain person said when i said i had my red foots in my LARGE spare bedroom.

it is moss, it holds mosture in. Its good to keep the humidity up for cherry heads

can you see in the right hand bottom corner. They are weeds that i have grown (herbiseed) so if they get hungry they can have a nibble.

I have two in there, i have 8 tortoises now, 2 cherry(baby), 1.2 red(adults), 1.0 russian (sub adult), 0.1 spur thighed, 0.1 tunsian. They are all kept apart except for the cherrys and reds. I have preparing my spur thighed and russian for hibernation at the moment. I just love tortoises they take most of my time up, but i wouldnt be without them.

yeah i know i spend about 3-4 hours every day sorting them out- changing water, bathing, feeding and spraying. Its a good job my boyfriend loves them as much as i do.

My Husband is the same, I reckon if your partner isn't into them then it would be a total disaster, mine does the messy jobs, well why not eh! lol He said to me have as many tortoises as you want but no babies. :)

lol that is why i had the cherrys, because i wanted a baby, he said tortoises or a baby, so i chose tortoises lol. oh and they were a birthday present
