Whilst Harry is busy snoozing for the winter, I decided to build him a new outdoor house:

The foundations were completed last week:

Yesterday I finished the second course of bricks; all's going well so far.

I'll keep you updated on progress.

Managed to complete the roof-frame today; nearly there, just the electrics and roof to do now; should be finished in a fortnight.

My sarky neighbour asked as to when the central heating and en-suite bathroom are going in. LOL!

Coming on, isn't it? What do you think of it so far?

Hi, Stella; yes, I've thought of that; the roof will be hinged so I can get at the devious little monkey, and change the basking lamp when it pops.
Glad you like it so far xxxx

Well, here it is, nearly finished; just the electrics and some final touches to add, then it'll be all ready for Harry's residence.
What do you think, ladies and gents?
Any comments will be welcomed.

It looks absolutely tortastic, Graham. You are certainly a very handy man. I'm sure Harry will love it.
Congratulations again. It is a fantastic creation.

Thanks for your positive comments, everyone, much appreciated.
Stella, yes, my next plan of action is to plant the area so Harry will have is own kitchen garden to feast on.
I'll keep you updated.

I chucked weed seeds around Tort Lodge Gardens once all were asleep. I had been told that the frost helps some germinate.
I have some left to sow on the greenhouse floor for the oldies when they wake up but haven't done it yet. I fear I will leave it too late so I won't have loads of weeds ready for them. I must get myself organised. I was going to get a few weeds dug up before the frosts set in....... Didn't do that either.... I am beginning to feel a failure x x x hugs x x
