Hi, my 2 girls are in their outside pen, now with no heating on while it is milder.

I fetched them in this morning to weigh them and one had gone from 89g down to 80g and the other from 200 up to 211g!!

Their soil is damp in the house from all the rain and temps are between 3-8 degrees.

I will check the smaller tort in a few days and if she loses any more should I bring her in and wake her up? Seems strange that the other girl has put on 11g under the same conditions!!

BTW they are both the same age and were both 30g when I had them, but the smaller one has not grown at all this year!

Any thoughts and advice??

Hi Pat,

No sign of a wee for the little one? The figure of 10% is often seen for maximum weight loss. I would do as you have decided to do, monitor well and wake up if there is much further weight loss.

Thanks Paula,

It is difficult to see if she has had a wee due to where they are and buried under the soil.

Will give it a few days and check again.

Happy New Year.
