Hi there people,thinking of gettin the arcadia t5 luminaire and was just wondering are the tubes any good and do they produce good uv and uvb levels?

They are rather exspensive so is there a cheaper option giving similar results?

morning matt.
i dont much about the luminaire hopefully jonathan (ozric) might be on soon he knows alot more about these things.
but ive just put these in my indoor and got told they were really good the bulb last a year and it has made a big difference in my enclosure.
you need to order the correct controller for the size bulb.

Thanks for the advice as been stressing what tubes to get as cant really afford a uv meter but because you have had great success will go with them.as for the halogens,was only thinking of giving them ago last week as the ceramic bulbs i find dont last very long,are you using normal halogens wich you buy from a builders merchants and what wattage bulbs as i thought 500 watt ones would be too powerfull?

Brillaint thanks ozric :) ive bought arcadia t5 d3+ and the right contoller aswell!they are very fair priced i must say!as for the halogens will be getting some soon.
