Hi, Everyone,

I'm glad to report that Harry has enjoyed a successful hibernation; I got him up this morning and followed the wake-up procedure, and as a result, he's up and about.   :)  :)

I thought he'd be half asleep all day, but as it was bright and warm outside, I put him out about midday whereupon he immediately went walkabout exploring, seeing what had changed since last year.

After an hour or so, I brought him back in, where he went back to his bed box for a bask under his lamp, and then and early night.

My first hibernation, and it's all gone great; hope everyone else experiences the same.  :D

Hi Graham,
Many congratulations on a successful hibernation. Harry sounds like he is in great form and back to his old self. Well done to others too.
Billiejo is due out next week. Roll on summer!
Kind Regards
Freddy

Even though I bathed Harry earlier, as soon as I put him in his enclosure today he made a beeline for his pool, and drank a huge amount.

Shows how important rehydration is after hibernation; I was quite surprised.

Great news Graham. What a lovely photo of Harry by his poo. How old is he?

Lol! slight typo there, Denise.

Harry is 46 this year, nearly as old as me. Glad to report he's been up nearly a fortnight, now, and back to his normal mischievous, inquisitive self.

Eating like there's no tomorrow, and exploring every nook and cranny to see if anything's changed since his big sleep.

Great to have him back!
