Bad Advice

Hi everyone I just stumbled upon this. pretty worrying....

I wonder if the poor diet and high humdity are contributing to their tortoises only living for 25 to 35 years!

It's no wonder new tortoise keepers are getting the wrong advice if rubbish like this is promoted. :(

 

I've just posted a message on The Tortoise Trust forum about it. I think Andy Highfiled may have a thing or two to say to them!! I think a few emails may be heading their way.  ;)

Thanks for passing this on. It realy worries me people will follow this bad advice. I am thankfull that I  bought my tortoise from someone who gqve good advice. I couldhave so easily got it wrong from elsewhere. Just done a quick calculation. 115 farenheight is 46 degrees c that is some basking temp!

One of the Tortoise Trust members has emailed them. It'll be interesting to hear their response..... :unsure2: ... I'll keep you posted. ;)

That temp is actually conducive with death. On reading that info, you can see errors in every single sentence :( They do have a contact email though ;)
