An outdoor enclosure is planned for the summer, but I'm not sure of the practicalities of having it permanent, due the the colder temperatures this far north. I'm all for giving her fresh air and sunlight though, so she'll certainly get out when the weather gets warmer.

Hi Mobile, can I ask what are you using as a base in your tort house?

Hi,

The indoor enclosure is a mixture of coir and playsand. The outside enclosure is topsoil. I find topsoil to be a little messy indoors, whereas coir is easy to clean-up.

The forum was a fantastic resource when I was trying to work out what was needed before I bought my tortoise. So many fall for the mistake of buying a vivarium, which I could well have done if I hadn't learnt better from forums like this, and tortoise websites. It was also a great resource for finding out what to feed.
