So, my sisters fiancé has just finished making this little beauty for Martin. Still needs varnished to protect the wood.

Couple of questions, what height does the heat bulb ned to be from the bottom of the table?

And, can I use the uv bulb on the side or am I best getting a 2 in 1?

If I did have to get the 2 in 1 bulb, can I use the thermostat or would I need a different one?

Thanks

Okay doke, I'll leave it as it is and see how I get on. If it need moving I can move it.

Think I'm just going to go with 2 bulbs since I already have them. Don't want to change too much!

Thanks

I would remove the top layer as tortoises naturally dig down to sleep, not up. He will likely sleep under the ladder area. Removing the top level will give more natural light too, which is important for a tortoises development.

The top lid comes off so will allow sunlight, too level is just something for him to climb up.
