Sorry for dense question but ...

My hermann Sparky is going out daily, in an enclsoure, with a mesh cover for protection.
My question is, when it rains, what do I do?  If there is a sudden downpour and I can't cover up the encolsure in time, there will just be a mess of be mud from the topsoil in the enclosure.  Yes?  In the UK we can't predict when the bad weather is coming so how does this work?

Am I being dense?!

Hi, is Sparky a hatchling, could you give us more details on your enclosure, does it have a shelter or cold frame for the tort, also is it a cage like enclosure or one that has good drainage. :)

Presumably he has an indoor area too, where he will naturally go when the weather is bad.

Sparky is 2 years old.  I have just got a new enclosure of 48" x 36", all wood, including the base (no drainage) which will be outside.  It has a plastic hide to go into/under as well as some pots to go into etc.  And same size enclosure inside

What size/weight is he? Does he have any heating?
