Be careful using a scoop Matt, it's a pinch per kilo of tortoise, so only a tiny amount for small torts, hardly visible on food ;)

Ha ha ha Sue....if you saw the first 'shake' I did.... I had to wash the whole lot!!!!
When it is such a tiny amount, what is the best way to give it.
If you scatter it on the weeds then how does a such tiny amount coat everything x x x hugs x x x

It needs to be like a very fine dust, hardly visible.

Matt you only use it like a pepper pot if you can then seal it. If you make holes in the actual lid, it will go 'off' almost immediately as it is open to the air. It will be useless very quickly then ;)

Yes, you certainly can overdose, not so much on the calcium alone, but when a  mix is formulated, it has to be given very precisely. There is a fairly large safety margin, but there is a huge difference between a very fine dusting and leaves that are distinctly white coloured ;) I once saw a pic of someone's feed for the tortoises with actual clumps of supplement on them :/

I put the tiniest pinch onto my hand and blow it onto the food. You can hardly see it but it is there lol
