Hi

Today I took a photo of little Elsie doing her impression of Sherpa tenzing. I think Elsie is a tomboy because she climbs flips over and she is very daring!! I thought tortoises was supposed to be very sedate!!

Lol no, a healthy tortoise is very active.

But climbing?? Is this normal or do I have a super tortoise?

No, all perfectly normal. I had two leopard tortoises that climbed the wire on a puppy pen and a horsfield that used to climb plant pots, I think that pic is on www.tortsmad.com/Russians.htm

Blimey I saw the photo of your tortoise climbing! ... I think I'm going to be having my handful with Elsie ..

That was around twelve or thirteen years ago. They can be just as bad as adults. Horsfields are def worse than some, although a neighbour once knocked on the door to let me know Wizza was half way up the fence lol
