Got my youngsters up today after almost 8 weeks in the fridge. Both seem fine, minimal weight loss and Custard is eating already. I'd have left them another couple of weeks but we're going away on hols next week and I wanted to be sure they were OK before entrusting them to my pet sitter. (She doesn't mind the fact that Fred's still asleep in his box but has trouble getting her head around the idea of torts in the fridge.)

Glad to have their first hibernation over and will be more relaxed about it next year. (That's the sitting room taken care of for another couple of months - with the fish tank and the tortoise table in there there's hardly room for us!)
