The best lamp at this time of year is the sun. Outdoors is best for all tortoises at this time of year ;)

Yep I agree but it's been unusually cold here and wet so they haven't been able to go outside.

We must have been lucky this year. Wales is notoriously wet, but this year has been great with the help of greenhouse and shed hides with heat. Even Scottish keepers are doing well apparently. Where are you? Maybe not in UK?

Seriously, London is fine for outdoor living, regardless of rain. Your temps are considerably higher than here. I would set it up outdoors if it was mine all of my torts are out 24/7 from April onwards and earlier when the greenhouse is heated. It's what they have evolved to do ;)

Here is your weather forecast, a good 2 degrees higher than here all week. I'd bite the bullet for your torts health if I was you ;)

Hi, I live in the north east, and our weather hasn't been brilliant this year, the main thing been strong winds which has made it seem cooler, my torts are still outside though with the help of a heated shed, they have the option to come and go as they please, I think you would be surprised if you seen them out on some days that are dull or windy, it's just really about giving them the choice as they know better than us. :)
