Ernie Pooped White

I put both bert and ernie in the sink to wash, bert was fine but white stuff came from Ernies' bum! Please help.

Hi as far as I know this is quite normal, its just like us having a wee I think,  maybe someone with more experience could shed more light on this for you,

Perfectly normal, Charlotte, it's urates, tortoises expel them via urination . In fact, I'd be concerned if there were none, tortoise wee should look like milky white toothpaste.

It's urates and just waste. Urine, faeces and urates all go into the cloaca before being expelled. Urates can be expelled along with urine or faeces. So long as it's liquid it's fine, but if gritty he needs more water on board ;)
