I am researching heat lamps/pig lamps and bulbs and it is making my brain hurt!  Can anyone recommend one? I want to get it right and it will save me reading lots of similar reviews and considering which shape  - round/ cone, with / without wire cage round bulb is best.  It will be in a play house which will be within a perspex greenhouse, so should be watertight.

I use farm pig lamps, which consist of an aluminium shade to deflect heat downwards and a clear infra red bulb. Used these for thirty odd years and they are very efficient. You don't need to consider uv when outdoors. Total cost for this setup is around £20-£25.
