Can anyone recommend the best combine heat/uvb lamp for a Hermann living on a table? I have a Sola Glow 80 w and it is only delivering around 28c

I've used all sorts but always go back to megaray. 100 watt for tables, 160 watt in the greenhouse ;) Very reliable, good temps and they produce good activity levels in hatchlings too.

Me too I've used a few different bulbs over the years but do find the Mega-ray bulbs a lot better. :)

I think to be honest that 80 watt is never going to give enough heat in an open enclosure, that would be more suitable for a large viv, so not really suitable for tortoises. If a reptile shop recommended it, it's worth taking it back for a refund as unsuitable for purpose ;)

I've just asked the same question, it might be silly question but is this the heat and uv combined and also would just this be ok in s 5x2 table.

In a 5ft table I would add more lighting depending on where the table is positioned. If I a conservatory or near to a large window it might be ok, but I would run a full length tube too as torts are motivated by light as much as heat.
