Lost Black Line Between Two Dorsal Scutes

One of the yearlings has lost one dorsal black line, this is the black line that is between two dorsal scutes.

Please see attachment, I have circled in red the black line which has gone.The picture is when the line was still there.


Please let me know if this is common in tortoises growing? Or if this is a sign of something in the husbandry to correct.

Shell colour changes throughout the growth period. If your black lines were to remain, you would have much darker torts than average. This is obviously going to be one of those lighter areas ;)
