Sadly I have to post that I've just got home from work to find an Etienne who is no longer with us.
We went to the vet yesterday and was given some reptoboost and some antibiotics which he had the 1st of yesterday. He had a 2nd bath last night by someone else and then never moved from the spot he'd been out back in.

Hi Kiri,

I'm so sorry to hear this, did the vet say what was wrong with Etienne.

Take care. xx

Hi Karen,

Not really. She said other than his loss of weight he looked quite good. Mouth all nice and pink, was still supporting himself. He hadn't done the gagging/gasping thing again since Saturday (that we saw). No signs of anything lodged.
We've kept an eye this eve as obviously heard horror stories of people disposing of "dead" tortoises but rigor has very much set in.
I'm gutted!

Very sad. Did the vet do any tests before prescribing?
