Hello, we've recently taken on a tortoise at short notice and are trying to get up to speed with how to care for him. I've been doing a lot of reading around and came across some info about 'pyramiding' which has got me wondering if my tortoise has this. Thanks

Your tortoise does have some pyramiding, but not too badly. With a change in care i.e. higher levels of humidity while indoors it shouldn't get any worse. Do you have pics of the underside (plastron)? How did you come to acquire him/ her?

Hi Mace, welcome to the forum. :)

Do you know how old the tortoise is and how much he/ she weighs. :)

Thanks folks :)

Apologies for the delay but i've been busy building a tortoise table :)

We acquired from an aquaintance of my wife - don't know any more other than she was selling 3 and we bought 1.

He's 3 years old - not sure of weight

I'll post a pic of the plastron and do a weigh-in later this evening

thanks for the replies

Look forward to pics. Hopefully the seller included paperwork with your little one ;)
