that was my first thought, I just didnt know if they had been in hibernation too long?  However, they will not be warm enough to eat if they go out, so best then that they reserve their energy in hibernation.

Thanks for answering my question.

Take care

Pat

Thanks Freddy, that is the main problem though, there will be nobody to check on them to feed and water them.

I could set up the heat lamp in their house to come on if the temps drop below 10 degrees and plant some weeds in the glazed part.  Do you think this should be okay for the short term?

Ha, so you did. Is it really that long ago? How are they doing?

Really well Sue.  Other than one being twice the size of the other one - but live in the same conditions!?!

I have kept the smaller one (Fifi) awake all winter and woke Marley up about 3 weeks ago as he went down in November.  Going back into the garden this weekend (fingers crossed)

Hope you and yours are all okay. x

Lovely torts xx  I had two from Sue (Wizzasmum) almost 4 years ago and they are adorable!!  Always on hand for advice too.

Hopefully they will be enjoying some sunshine soon.
