Have you ever used this as a source of heat for Hermann tortoises for outdoors? (In addition to pig infrared lamp for example)


I would be interested to hear your thoughts about it.




It is adjustable in height, gives radiant heat, low consumption, can be put on a thermostat to adjust the temp.

Help - Are These Plants/flowers Not Toxic For Hermann Tortoises?

Please could you let me know if these plants are non-toxic for Hermann Tortoises. The intention is to plant them in the hollow blocks which form the enclosure.


  1. Helianthemum (known as rock rose)
  2. Sedum Kamtschaticum (known as stonecrop)
  3. Sedum Spurium (known as stonecrop)
  4. Dianthus Deltoides (known as Maiden Pinks)
  5. Gypsophila Prostrata
  6. Cerastium (known as Snow in Summer)
  7. Dwarf Asters

Please Need Help On Plants/flowers Ideas

Please i need your help regarding some planting....


I would like to plant for perennial plants in the hollow blocks of the outdoor enclosure of my tortoises.



- Not toxic for tortoises or edible for tortoises

- Produce flowers

- Grow low, not high because don't want these plants to make shade in the enclosure

Lost Hermann Tortoise In The News - 20 June 2017 - Found On Severn Bridge

On 20 June 2017, an article was published on a Hermann tortoise found by a motorist on Severn Bridge, and handed to a vet practice.




The vet is trying to reunite the tortoise with its owners.
