Hi all

We acquired a Herman from a local reptile shop about 10 weeks ago He had been returned there after the teenager who owned him lost interest and her parents took him back.

When we got him he was fairly lively and being displayed in a vivarium.

We were told that this was how he had been kept. We purchased a vivarium (which is now temporary until we sort out a table and outside enclosure for him)

We bathe him once a week and he is lively when we do this. We have just started to put him outside for short periods as the weather has improved. Unfortunately over the past three weeks all he wants to do is bury himself in a corner of his vivarium or in our flower beds against the wall.

We have tried to ween him off of the Fruit & Flower pellets without success. He just seems so lethargic. Can anyone help us understand why he is so determined to always bury himself for most of the day whether inside or out?

Thank you.
